What about when the weater just starts rising slowly but steadily as the caps melt and the Earth slowly floods? I'm not sure you could address this is 3 hours, but what happens when the land slowly shrinks and there just isn't enough room left for 6 billion people? How do we decide? Who does the deciding? Do we just begin killing others in order to survive? Now that would be some damn drama right there. Not just the same main characters running away from tsunamis and volcano explosions the whole film.
